Mas Dogs!

So I'm sure this is getting repetitive, and you're sure you've seen all this before, but they're our babies, so...too bad!  It's all about them!  (or at least THEY think so!) (and they're pretty much right...)  So back to our lake we go...  And Zou zooms in!!
But life is better with a stick, so Dad scavenges one up.
Guess who's ready?!!  Oh boy!  Throw it, Dad!  Throw it!!
 Woohoo!  In she goes!
Hayes really won't go in after a stick.  Rather, he lies in wait while Zou does all the work, and then...  Well, you'll see...!
But Zou is very tolerant and generous about it all.  Plus, sticks are a lot more fun when shared!
   A dog on each end...
Dock time!  Zou says, "C'mon Dad, let's go!"  She doesn't know what's coming...
But Dad's carrying the stick so it can't be all bad!
Bill was hoping that if he threw in the stick, Zou would leap into the water after it.  Just like our neighbor dog (Piper Rose - great name, right?!) does!  But no luck.  She just wonders why Dad did that...!!
Uh-oh!  Zou gets a little assist...!
But she's a good sport, and a smart doggie, and she grabs the stick and heads for land...
And gee, after all that, guess who's there to try and steal the stick?!
It's just another pretty day at the lake.
Looking back towards one of our little inlets (on the other side of the dock).
So this is exactly how the sabotage works...  The stick gets thrown.  Zou goes after it....
while Hayes watches...from a comfortable, dry vantage point...
Then, when Zou gets back to the shallower water, Hayes literally leaps on top of my tired soggy doggie and tries to steal the stick!  What a poophead he is!!  But Zou doesn't seem to mind, and they're best friends anyways - despite Hayes' lazy, thieving ways!!

On the way back home...  There are so many gorgeous giant deciduous oaks here.  This is one majestic model.
